forever always

around this time of year, usually shortly after labor day, i start to get unabashadly sappy, sentimental & nostalgic.  the reason being is that six years ago this sunday will mark the day that we first exchanged our vows here.  that special day was the most blissful moment in my life by far…enchanting & magical {sigh}.

speaking of weddings, this summer, we’ve had more than our share of wedding invitations from within our families as well as our circle of friends   while we couldn’t make it to all of these happy events,  we wanted all our dear ones to know that we are so elated about their wedding nuptials & that we send our very best wishes & love for a lifetime of wedded bliss.

feeling so utterly sentimental & overwhelmed with thoughts of love & joy, i have felt inspired, almost compelled, to express these emotions in a more tangible way.  even despite the fact that i am already beyond up to my eyeballs with a myriad of things to do.  i wanted to translate what my heart was singing inside amidst the external chaos whirling around me.  i needed to get out all these notes of love & joy.   so, it just happens that painting became my orchestra.

(16″ x 20″  mixed media on canvas, entitled, ‘always’)  with some encouraging words & tips from her & her, this piece (which i hope will be the start of many!) came about & will be a gift to someone very dear…& it is fitting that it was created so very close to our special day…because for me, that day will forever always be etched in my heart.
